Signed books! (And free art by my mum)
My mum, Jo, who has illustrated the inside of many of my books, has just very generously sent me a lovely package of handmade bookmarks (see above), featuring several of her linocut illustrations. I'm making these available exclusively on a first-come-first-served basis with the pile of the new paperback of Everything Will Swallow You that I have here (there are around 30 books and bookmarks in total). The cost is cover price (£9.99) plus p&p and I'm also happy to sign and personalise each book. Please email me at hello@tom-cox.com, letting me know your address, if you'd like one, and I'll reply with payment details.
Many apologies but this is a UK-only offer, as I can't bring myself to charge people the high Royal Mail postage costs (i.e. more than the cost of the book itself) to send the book overseas. However, the UK bookshop Blackwell's will - amazingly - send the book anywhere in the world with FREE delivery.

You can read a bit about my mum's artistic evolution here.
I also thought I'd take advantage of today's missive by putting together this little digest of posts for those of you who are new here, or who might have missed bits of my writing in the past....
A short essay I wrote about my love of herring gulls:

An interview with Roscoe about her alter ego's secret life:

A piece about some of the best low budget British folk horror films you have never seen:

Some notes about the best sheep I have photographed during my walks in the British countryside:

A story about a hagstone (extracted from my new book):

A story about a bookshop, and its owner (also extracted from my new book):

It's now only just over a month until my second short story collection, Curious Events Lately Occurring In This Neighbourhood, comes out. You can order a copy direct from the Breakthrough Books site here.
